Red Ribbon TNT Assembly



A sea of red watched Hoover High School's TNT group
perform a "Finding Nemo" skit.  They taught the students
how to say no and make the right choices.

Music Man Junior



Green Valley was well-represented at Simmons Middle
School's performance of "The Music Man Junior" on
October 23 and 24.  Mr. Singer recognized the students
during the TNT Red Ribbon Assembly.



Animal Open House



Ms. Kuklinski's 2nd grade class invited parents, admin-
istrators, and faculty to their Animal Open House. 
Students were excited to share what they learned
about their animal.



Ruby's Wish Has Been "Grant"ed!



Beth Garrard, Enrichment teacher, received a $100
Pets in the Classroom grant to help pay for food and
supplies for Ruby (the rabbit). 



Bicycle Helmets

On Friday, October 21, representatives from Children's Hospital (Think First - a brain and spinal cord inury prevention program), Kohl's and local media were here!  Vicki Hill, RN at Children's  Hospital wrote a grant through Kohl's to supply our school with helmets. Several stations were set up in the gym during PE class, such as a helmet fitting station and concussion goggle station.

Each and every child at Green Valley were fitted and given his/her own bicycle helmet!

Chick-Fil-A Spirit Night



Our Spirit Night was a success.  Besides being able
to enjoy each other's company, we earned $257 from
Chick-Fil-A.  Thank you for your support!
And...congratulations to Mrs. Walker's class - the
winner of the Ice Dream party!

On Tuesday, October 18, DO NOT COOK DINNER!  Join us at Chick-Fil-A at the Galleria Mall anytime between 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.  A percentage of sales between those hours will come back to Green Valley.  The class with the largest percentage of participation will win an Ice Dream party!
