Turkeys in Disguise



5th graders disguised their turkeys for Thanksgiving. 




They didn't want to be eaten for dinner.




They had to write a letter of persuasion to get out of being "stuffed"
and eaten for Thanksgiving.



HCS Coat Drive

Hoover City Schools has partnered with ABC 33/40 for the
2011 Neighbors in Need Coat Drive.  The deadline for
bringing in new or gently-used coats to Green Valley is
Friday, November 18.  Drop them off in the box in our lobby.

And the winner is.....Green Valley!



Thanks to Denna Scott, bookkeeper, Green Valley is the proud
winner of the Crayola Dream-Makers Sweepstakes.  We received
3 Dream-Makers student activity centers.  Each center includes
360 cards with standards-based projects integrating visual arts with
Science, Math and Language Arts, a teacher's guide, AND
Crayola products.
